Rebranding and Clan Creation!

While our original goal was to become a Discord-based social hub without our own dedicated in-game clan, it's become apparent that reaching people without a clan has made it impossible to use most of the usual community-building avenues available to Runescape players, as most of them are for clan recruitment. For that reason, we are changing our name from Rainbow Refuge to Rainbow River (it's a bit more cheerful and has less reflection on the fallout from a previous clan that caused us to create a new community), and we've created the OSRS clan, RainbowRiver.

The website and Discord have been updated to reflect the new name and the clan creation. If you're interested in joining the in-game clan, feel free to guest and, if a mod is online, we can get you in. If there are no mods online, your best bet is trying another time, or joining our Discord to let us know you want to join.

If you're interested in joining our community but play Runescape 3 and not Oldschool, we would be happy to have you join our Discord! We are not deliberately exclusively OSRS focused and would love to create an RS3 sister clan in the future. The more people we have in our community who play RS3, the faster that sister clan becomes a reality.

The Community Is Now Open to New Members!

As you may have seen in our About page, we started with just a small group of people, looking for a fresh start after clan fallout. Now, we're ready to open our community up to new members and begin what we hope will be an exciting and continuous foray into community-building!

If you're a queer adult looking for likeminded friends and acquaintances to bond with over your shared love of Runescape, this is the place to be. You don't have to be from a specific place, be in a certain clan, meet any level requirements, or anything else particularly exclusive. If you're queer, 18 or older, and love Runescape, this is a place you can be yourself and enjoy the game without fear of judgement.
